The plant extract development in china. The 6th “Plant Extracts Development and Innovation of China” Forum was successfully held in Shanghai on June 21. Mr. Liu Zhanglin, Vice President of CCCMHPIE attended the forum and gave the opening speech. Representatives from pharmaceutical companies, R&D institutes and international organizations delivered keynote speeches. Other attendants include more than 120 plant extracts companies from China and other countries.
Though China’s plant extract industry has made huge progress and registered higher industry concentration in recent years, deficiencies still exist, for example, small production scale, low innovation level, weakness in exploring international market, etc. The plant extract industry should extend the industrial chain, expand domestic demand, strengthen awareness of quality and safety, improve environment protection standards, strengthen integrity and self-discipline, and ensure its healthy and sustainable development.
